BERNICE BOUGHNER is an author/co-author with an extensive background in Sales and
Marketing and thirty years of dedicated military service. Her
skills as a writer and editor were honed while in the Coast Guard where she
authored, proofed and edited numerous military publications. As
a civilian,
Bernice
has held positions with both profit and non-profit organizations, "And
some non-profits that were not intended to be." she jokingly adds. She
has worked for such international corporate entities as NORTEL (then Northern
Telecom) Textron Automotive and Mercy Hospital Corp. She has been on the Board

In 2001
Bernice
started her dream job, working in a garden center.
That reactivated her passion for gardening and in 2003 she completed the
Michigan State University Master Gardener Program and remains certified as Master
Gardner.
In 2005 she and her
sister released "Cheap and Easy™
Gardening", a
light hearted, fact-filled how-to manual for every gardener, novice or
accomplished. As a result of her
experience with the publishing process,
Bernice
started Arigan Publishers, LLC. The
company works with authors of fiction and non-fiction works from editing to
sales and has trademarked “Cheap and Easy” to be used for a series of DIY
books. Arigan released Cheap and Easy™
Houseplants in
2006 and anticipates additional releases soon.
